VFLW - Round 4 vs Willy @ The Hangar, 11AM Saturday 5 Mar 2022

Ha, I was right. No point being shy now, from quarter time last week:

FFS AFL, just say COVID.

And you might conclude from that list that Hosking was dropped. Harsh.

Snippets from the Best In The Business:

Williamstown have made two changes for Saturday’s VFLW Round four clash with Essendon.

Sarah Hosking and Sasha Long return to the line-up for the clash at The Hangar, with Asha Price (knee) and Matisse Hunter (playing in Northern Territory) making way.

The Seagulls will be looking for their second victory of 2022, currently sitting just outside the top six by a game.

Tripodi (centre) and Meade (half-back) topped the disposals in both games versus us last year. Our backline basically won us both games.

Worked this out (probably): the Jets are playing the Bears Academy team from 2:15 at The Hangar. So she gets an inside experience before her actual game.

Ground is wet, sky is dry.

A few bursts of breeze to the southern end.

Doonan warmed up with the mids.

Scoreboard stuck on two weeks ago. Psychological warfare!

Judging via accent, I think I just walked past Mr DanMarshall.

Captain and vice-captain lead us out:

Manfre got the gum boots on again. But appropriate today.

Renee and Fede gonna mess you up.

The old lady will show you how it’s done, Doonan.

Courtney sees the last player, and debutant, onto the field.

Doonan likes the low one-handed ball drop to the boot.

Clean hands in the final drills.

Lots of slippery ball fumbles early.

Two poor kicks across halfback by us so far.

Meade out late, so both captains and big ball-getters are missing.

Kendra in defence?

Davies, Clifford and Frew our deep forwards. Yet to get there.

Hot holding the balls today.

Unless you’re Stepnell, apparently.

Nice shepherd bump by DanMarshall. Brutal.

Manfre mark at 45. Kicks to Frew who soccers three times before being dumped without the ball. Spills to Clifford and she slams it through.

6-0
