GWS recruit Tanya Hetherington and Calder Cannons players Molly Warburton and Carla Rendelmann have been named to take on the Hawks at Box Hill City Oval this Sunday from 11.45am.
Hetherington was drafted by the Giants with pick 17 for the 2018 AFL Women’s season and played every game as a defender, establishing herself as a key pillar in her side’s rise up the ladder.
17-year-olds Warburton and Rendelmann are among the youngest members of Essendon’s list and were recently selected in the Vic Metro squad.
Essendon began the season against Hawthorn at Windy Hill, with the Hawks prevailing by 39 points. The match will be the team’s first double-header with Essendon’s VFL Men’s side, which will play against Box Hill at 2.10pm.
Yep, RSN Carnival on ya digital radio, rsn.net.au/digital-radio (from 11am) and at the ground DJR can listen on 89.1 FM… and I’ll try to get rid of the hum if I can!
#1 Trend smashed in marking contest, staff run on but before they arrive the ball comes back and she pulls her sorry corpse up and flings it headfirst into another contest.
