4 - Meg Macdonald (Casey) 9.6

Hit-outs
1 - Lilly Pearce (Pies) 33.0
e8 - Lauren Jatczak (Casey) 14.7

Note that AFLW-listed Georgia Campbell had two more hit-outs than Jatczak this past week… and two more goals too! The three weeks before that, Gillard topped their tallies. Swain hasn’t played since round 3.

Jatczak is a young but solid beast (just under 6 foot). She’s only got two goals this year, but is dangerous forward.

Sophie Casey, of Casey, is likely out.

This past weekend she had 16 disposals, 8 tackles, and 1 rough conduct.

She’s an OG AFLW player who racked up 62 games.

What a shame FCFC are set to lose their captain. Legit shame that we don’t play them in the next 3-4 weeks.

That’s the third 4-weeker in 7 rounds for the VFLW. Unusual.

Aaaaaaand everyone has agreed to the early plea penalty. So no Casey (Casey) to worry about.

We’ve announced early :white_check_mark:

Casey think all their inclusions are fantastic.

Stepping into the side is Alexi Kasteliotis. Kasteliotis’ tenacity and skill make her a formidable force in defence. Her ability to read the game and intercept opposition attacks will be crucial in thwarting Essendon’s forward thrusts, adding another dimension to our backline.

Joining her down back is Alicia Bertrand, a player with a wealth of experience and defensive prowess. She excels in one-on-one contests and is known for shutting down opposition forwards. Expect her to play a key role in nullifying Essendon’s attacking threats.

Leah Swain’s dominance in the ruck will be instrumental in giving the Demons first use of the ball at stoppages. Her expertise and decision-making around the ground make her a valuable asset in both offensive and defensive transitions.

Tyler Mills’ versatility allows her to impact the game across various positions on the field. Whether it’s providing run-and-carry through the midfield or offering a target up forward, her presence will be felt throughout the contest.

Olivia Morris returns to the side. Set to reinforce the Demons’ midfield brigade with her ball-winning ability and composure under pressure. Her clean skills and decision-making in congestion will be vital in generating scoring opportunities for Casey.

Why didn’t they select Sheridan to play.

Correction, why didn’t we select Sheridan.

Must not be any good!

The current heavy fog will clear by game time, but the grass will likely start wet.

There are five teams a draw below us, including Casey. We could finish this round as high as third, or as low as seventh. We just have to keep winning games.

The Windy Hill surface is very wet felt. Zero wind, so it’s not drying any time soon.

Perkins and Murdoch getting some running in. The former says she might finally debut in round 11.

Defence…

Sun poking its head out, and the brown mass that has been hovering over this city for the last few days has been washed away.

Prpic the only emergency present so far in the informal warmup period.

Coffee and donut truck is here.
