That Nasty is a classic banger!
Nooooooooice.
I bought the 7â Modern Girl by James Freud back in the day. Excellent pop record. Never quite understood how Sean Kelly saw him as a fit for The Models but it came off, I guess.
I did see that single in a couple of stores. I had the album at some point but rarely played it.
I visited @crumbs at The Searchers too. Great guy, great store!
Had a few more lined up, but I donât think Iâll get to them.
Stupid overnights.
I wasnât going to say anything, but seeing someone else raised itâŚ
If you truly love music, which I know you do, you simply have to spend a few hundred bucks on speakers. As Iâm sure you know, there are hundreds of options, new or used. One example, although you wouldnât really need âstudio monitorsâ:
Deleted: I believe the needle dropping sound may be on the original recording! Forget my long post.
I did not know that. Guess Iâve always just had the CD, and never checked out the vinyl.
I guess with the Loot ep being recorded and released at a similar time it made sense.
I think itâs on the original recording! I donât have a copy of it, but someone uploaded Too Cool to YouTube many years back and it has the same needle noise. Deleted my other post ![]()

The second most beautiful things to records are VU meters.
The hypnotic dance of the rhythmic carrot sticksâŚnothin better.
âDaddy, do you love me?â
âOf course I love VUâ
âHuh? Kinda sounded like you said âlove V Uâ.â
âWhat?! No, no, thatâs crazy. I lovvvvU. VU⌠Ok, I said V U.â
Which Yamaha amp is that ?
AS1100. Black with dark brown timber panels which apparently was only a variant available in Australia and NZ. I got it for a bargain when they came out as they were not selling well in this particular colour combination. I think its beautiful. And it sounds spectacular.
Iâve had it for about 9 years and unless it spontaneously combusts, I will never sell it. I love it.
Thanks man, yep certainly pricey now! But still only 1/5th the price of a new pinball so all relative ![]()
