Why does nobody talk about this? When I was a teenager I had all of the time and listened to all of the music. Singles, albums, EP’s, 12”s.
And now I feel like I have just as much time but nothing gets listened to!
Listening to vinyl is work! Don’t ask me to explain why, it just is.
Edit: I have the Moulin Rouge soundtrack on vinyl. And I like it. I know I do.
But I fear that it will never be taken out of its plastic wrapping.

It’s rare, but not the holy grail of their catalogue. That would be the 7" WIG. I’m only aware of one copy out there. It changes hands very occasionally, and goes for extreme money…
Nowhere near that level, but I’m selling some things off with that same mindset. Things I like well enough, but never put on. Out of sight out of mind, and make sure those great records get spun more often.

A few months ago I was going through some vinyl in a really crappy second hand shop. The vinyl was all rubbish, and mostly in poor condition. I was about to give up, and flicked through one more disc. Original Nonsuch double vinyl in VG+. He told me it was £20, then said, nah - how about £15. Amazing pickup, but not as cool as WIG. Well done!
I asked Dave Mattocks to sign my Nonsuch vinyl (reissue) and CD last year. Now the CD only needs Dave’s signature.
Nice score… esp for 15 quid. The original NS double vinyl is very nice… I was lucky enough that an uber-collector of XTC (who’s since sold-off his collection) sent me a copy as a gift.

I also have the Original Fuzzy Warbles. Didn’t buy the Ammonite embossed case as there were two in the shop and both were broken. I stayed clear but probably should have grabbed one. I have Psonic Psunspot in coloured vinyl.
Picked up the Oranges and Lemons 3 mini-cd box, and have a few sampler CDs.
I even appeared on one of the Chalkhill’s Children tributes cassettes back in the 90s!
