No… that was a single LP. Oranges & Lemons and Nonsuch were double albums (on vinyl at least).
The only other possible contenders I can think of are Bruce Springsteen’s “The River” and Billy Bragg’s “Don’t Try This At Home”. The Allman Brothers Band’s “At Fillmore East” is often cited, but I’ve never listened to it.
I would endorse “Exile On Main Street” as the greatest double album of all time.
What about ‘Raiders of the Pop Charts’?
First time I heard ‘The Message’.
Now you’re just showing off.
What sort of deck is that btw?
Pro ject Xperience SB.
I’m going to predict that once Dogga wears out that Bronze stylus, it’s going to turn Black !
Where are you located?
Edit. Nice touch with Blitz open on the computer.
A globe needs changing.
Haha nice pick up.
Part of the charm. Not like we 260+ days to fix it or nothing…we are on Smith st Fitzroy near the corner of Gertrude st.
Searchers, yeah?
Love the Prince print on the back wall.
Looking change flavours actually. I have a powerful lust for a Nagaoka mp-200. Hopefully in about 6 months time.
I think I’ve met you a few times @crumbs . Great store. I’ll make sure to say hello next time.
Good call on ATMP. I am hearing that the 50th anniversary release is spectacular
Jeff Wayne’s War of the World’s is quite good personally, but may not be to everyone’s taste.
My parents weren’t that sensitive to what might frighten the ■■■■ out of their still impressionable kids and scar them for life.
There’s a bass line in there having listened recently that is killer.
First time I listened to it properly was in a dark closet (literally) and it impressed the ■■■■ out of me. Let the imagination draw the pictures from the story with the music to provide the backdrop. Very cool.
