Exactly
New release of Tattoo You out. Would love the vinyl as finding a new copy previously was impossible.
Underrated Stones album, probably as it pulled material from earlier 70s sessions when they were still a decent band. Last good Stones album, now 40 years ago.
Slave is incredible!
Nice Crumbs - hope you sell heaps!
For sure - Please do. Thanks heaps! Feels great to be open!
If anyone is even remotely interested in exploring 70s Japanese Jazz and Funk (which I am currently obsessed with), it would be difficult to find a better starting point/introduction than Green Catapillar by Massaru Imara Trio+2.
And yes, the music is as cool as the cover.
When do we have a Blitz outing at Crumbs where we meet up and shoot the breeze and take advantage of Crumbs looking after Blitzers. I haven’t been to Melbourne for years and will probably spend a bucket load of cash!
Doors are always open and Don’s fans are ALWAYS looked after. Especially after a win or a Carlton/hawthorn loss.
Would love to come and visit but it would make them very expensive records when you factor in the cost of airfares accommodation in Melbourne then quarantine back here in Perth. That’s about 4 grand before I even look at a record.
This lot was unexpected. I low balled the seller significantly to see if they would sell. I literally offered half of what they were asking for and fully expected to get told to bugger off. As it was they countered and I stuck to my original offer and they accepted. 19 albums, 2 of which are doubles, for under $8 per. To say I was surprised is a bit of an understatement, it was really just a fishing expedition. Same as when I offered a bloke $100 for AC/DC BiB, T.N.T., Let There Be Rock, Black Ice and Who Made Who 12" single. At least he came back and said no, make a realistic offer. Still, not going to complain, some very nice music in this lot.
Got a wondeful delivery from Japan yesterday.
This Japanese Jazz/Funk kick Im on at the moment is insatiable. All of them sound amazing and the records are perfect. Which is good, because they weren’t cheap.
Happy Friday night Blitzers.
Next time I am in Melbourne I will wander in and have a bo peep Crumbs - hopefully it is just after an Anzac Day victory
If you notice a very hungover customer, constantly knocking back Gaviscon, pouring through your 45s today @crumbs , that will be me.
Keen to have a dig through for some Aussie 60s goodness
Oke’s record store in Chelsea
Here’s my war of the world, it’s a genuine 1978 version that looks like it was some sort of not for sale copy from Washington state university
Phil Lynott bass.
Massive haul.
Last Night from Strangeways is one of my (wanker) sonically favourite tracks.
If you’ve got a good rig, turn it the fark up.
$70 for the lot, left a few there. Tempted to go back in the morning to see what might be left if any.
