Lunch break training report writing for the win

Or smoko break or when you are sitting on the can!!!

With great power (ability to go to training) comes great responsibility (training reports in timely fashion!)

It may be really late today as we got free tickets to Moulin Rouge for tonight and it’s still over an hour home after that, and I’m not sure I’ll get a chance to write it before then

Ahh, the Moulin Rouge cabaret club, where, like Nackers training reports, ā€œall your dreams come trueā€.

Just go to the KKKollingwood thread

I sense shambolic shambles in the shadows.

Training reports have tended to take longer since Saladin’s creative writing masterpiece landed

Maybe Nackers is feeling the pressure now and has performance anxiety. Wants to get report perfect

Will you write the blitz report first, or will you be writing the Moulin Rouge report on the Rouge forum first?

I for one am eagerly awaiting your Rouge Report.

I wasn’t there this is just a piece of satire, while we wait for nackers report./ Saladins

Training today in cool conditions with mostly no breeze to speak of.

The modified group was again Laverde, Jones, Eyre and Hurley

Quite a warm morning again at the Hangar.

McBride not sighted might have been too sunny.

Good to see Laverde out there, he did some running and light ball work with Jones, Eyre and Hurley. Laverde Moved quite well.

Jones and Eyre did a lot of running. I’d expect both back in full training after, or not long after the return post-Christmas. Laverde progressing nicely.

Skills were top notch today, not sure if it was the lack of wind, but there were quite a few times where i thought it was a Ridley kick, but was Shiel, Smith and Ham, so nice they were hitting them nicely.

In general though, the skill level does look better than in previous years. Hard to really tell on ball movement/game plans etc until they really ramp that up post-Christmas break.

Hobbs blue collar today, good in close, good spatial awareness, and disposal looks good

Walla moved well today, still at the back but progressing, looks to have some zip back.

Fejo Jr was electric today, showing nice pace and spreading from the contest, playing mostly wing in match sim.

Hird is improving every session.

Caldwell completed the session and was great in close.

Just in front of where we were standing, the Davey boys were having right foot snaps for goal, from about 30 out on the boundary. They made a high percentage of them, which was pleasing.

In the next drill Draper and Francis were in a marking contest where Francis was practicing playing for a free kick, meanwhile wanganeen flew over the pack and marked the ball at the highest point. He has his dads leap.

Parish, Merrett and Stringer all looked really good again, but none of them could keep up with Perkins and Voss in the running drills, who was training with the mids group again, Voss who is a big boy

Ridley playing as KPD on wright and winning most of the contests, Rutten telling Wright to get more physical and rough Riddles up.

One of the best reports I’ve ever read.

hi guys, i was at training today and was in the presence of Nackers so didn’t take any notes.
i have been two sessions this preseason and plenty over the years, not one to blow the lid off but it is the most excited i have been for a long time! - just the amount of young talent and the attitude of the group.

from memory not at training today- Cox, Hurley & Perkins.
modified but almost ready to join main group
Laverde, Langers, Jones, Phillips, Guelfi
Tippa on stationery bike and general fitness all session, didn’t do any ball work today.
did overhear Laverde saying his shoulder clean out was delayed due to covid hence why still in modified group.
lots of match sim which appeared to very competitive and teams evenly spaced split.
Usual suspects did well.
not sure if a tactic but both teams did appear to kick long deep into respective lines with bigs competing.

Highlight for me was Tex, did a lot right and looks exciting, took a great contested mark, used the ball well, kicked a few goals.
Shiel looked good in match sim
Voss is some sort of athlete.

Cheers mate! Shame that Perkins wasn’t there, was keen to hear how he’d go in match sim.

How did some of of those younger fringe players like Durham, Hird, BZT & Brand go? And where were they playing Voss?
