Week 2 Finals Thread

Geelong vs North Melbourne Friday Night at the G’

Fremantle vs Port Adelaide Saturday Night at Patersons

I hope Cats either smash North or break their hearts with a less than 6 point win.

Don’t care who wins in the other match, but tipping Port due to Barlow and Ballantyne missing.

Geelong & Port.

One Scott brother will be upset and that pleases me. Would prefer it to be Brad

26 of 28.

$1.65 & $1.57

Best betting weekend of the year.

All of the will lose next week anyway. It will almost certainly be a Sydney v Hawks Grand Final.

Would prefer:

North and Port this week.

The handbaggers have a long and growing injury list. Might mean the Shinboners get up.

Freo are suffering the same issues as the handbaggers. Can Port do it?

A wounded Geelong is still twice the side North is.

Port are in great form but Freo weren't far away against the Swans last week.

28 of 30 coming up.

North and Port to get up. It will still be Swans vs Hawks in the GF.

Morabito has done another knee apparently.

. @NickRynne from @thewest_com_au has joined us. Anthony Morabito has been carried off of the ground from Fremantle training today.

O ■■■■

Would like to see North and Port get smashed, but really couldn't give a ■■■■.

Fremantle are holding their breath after injury-prone midfielder Anthony Morabito was injured at training this morning.

Morabito, who underwent three knee reconstructions before returning to play this season, was carried off the training track early by two trainers, with indications he was in physical and emotional distress.

Witnesses claim Morabito was in pain and appeared to be in tears.

The nature of the injury is at this stage unclear.

North and Port will win.

Have to go back to 2007 for a team to go out in straight sets. That team was West Coast after losing to Adelaide and Collingwood.

And before that 2001. Twice in 14 years.

History doesn't give North and Port much hope.

O fark

Poor dude - feel quite sad for these young fellows who have multiple serious injuries - they must think "what the hell" - another year of rehab etc, and then try to play again, tough thing to do

will watch the friday night game thinking what a missed opportunity for dons.

if north get within 3 goals of cats i would think we could have won, with fletch and carlisle in side.

Hope boomer does something stupid and gets reported.

wont watch freo / port.

time to pull the plug, go and live life, play local footy once better.

then try for afl again in a couple of years.

still rememeber sydney offered picks 6 & 11 for pick 3.  (Lewis Jetta and Gary Rohan) thats how highly they rated morabito - the next goodes they said.

FORMER No.4 draft pick Anthony Morabito is breathing a huge sigh of relief after scans on his troublesome left knee have revealed he will only be sidelined for 2-4 weeks.
The 22-year-old midfielder was reportedly in great distress when he was carried from the training track on Thursday.
The club confirmed it was not a structural injury and he will only require a "two to four week rehabilitation program".

There's a week 2?
