Couldn’t they have announced this before I watched the replay of the Pies VFLW game last night?!?
Welcome, Ameli? ?ad*.
If they were hooked on a direct name replacement they should have stolen Amelia Peck before she kicked 32 of the Pies’ 47 points…
5 minutes of pre-draft footage. Looks great! Clean hands, composed.
Holds the U18 Girls record for goals in a single game: 9!

PROFILE:
Amelie Gladman plays an important team role inside forward 50, and has shown over the journey that she is a clever forward with terrific hands and a great goal sense. Her nine-goal haul against Bendigo Pioneers last year helped her final tally go to 19 in 13 games, and while most of her majors came against the lower ranked sides in 2023, her consistency this year was far better.
Gladman only went goalless four times from her 14 games, while kicking 19.16 from 9.8 disposals. Once the ball hits the deck Gladman can be incredible dangerous, swooping on a loose ball and able to snap one across her body or run in and convert on the move. Also capable of clunking some good grabs, when required, Gladman is more of a ground level player and it shows with her hands and footy IQ.
What the Chargers and Vic Metro forward needs to work on is largely in her defensive pressure, laying 24 tackles across 18 games. While her best weapons are with ball in hand, that element - along with developing a secondary position - will help expand her game into the future.
