Hoping he brings what he did for Suns in the second half, he was a good contributor, will be missed I imagine.
Losing Fiorini is probably as big as losing Flanders for them this year.
Flanders younger, but cost saints a first round pick.

Very happy with this, solid player who has versatility. And we havenāt been the same since we lost our wog crew from the 90s, a step in the right direction
He is so good, we will trade him next year for 2 first round draft picks.
Yep Iām happy, heās a bargain for the leadership he will bring also.
Good moneyball pick up. Put him in charge of Arm Day in the gym.
Heās definitely a fitness guy. Can run up and back.
I wouldnāt think heās great defensively. But thereās a lot that goes into wingmen defensively and itās more about positioning and reading the play than tackles or effort.
Iām not a fan of his kicking skills. Itās neat. Probably not as good as Prior. But he can fluff the odd kick here and there.
Heāll start off the wing opposite Duursma.
Iām not sure he can switch between half back and wing like Archie Roberts did early this year. I think heāll switch between half forward and wing like Hobbs did.
Itāll be interesting to see how Harry Jones is used in all this. Same with Nik Cox (if he gets back on the park).
I donāt think Brayden will be received well by fans though. Eventually, his flaws will be highlighted too much and heās not too far away from being a ālist cloggerā for us just like Setterfield.
Itās not always the high profile trades that end up being the best ones
Another player with decent size is welcome. Slightly taller and heavier than Xavier on the other wing.
Also, for comparison, better numbers than Xav:
Good pick up.
2 years under Hardwick and 5 years playing with Rowell and Anderson- donāt mind a player landing at Essendon with an association to that level of footy IQ
Hopefully, Prior doesnāt get in the best 23.
Hopefully he keeps building his confidence and improving and he does.
Big Fishorini
I like this pick-up.
He will sure up our other wing with hard running to help in defense and forward.
Hard trainer by all accounts and commincates well with youngins. Hopefully he can help drive standards.
Heās won a final.
āHello Brayden, welcome to the Essendon Football Club.
So on day 1 we will be making you captain and handing you the number 7.
Anyway, enjoy your holiday, canāt wait to get into it!ā
Essendon is thrilled to welcome Brayden Fiorini to the Club after finalising a trade with the Gold Coast SUNS on Tuesday afternoon.
A crafty winger whoās also shown his capability as an inside midfielder, Fiorini established himself as a consistent performer on the Gold Coast over 10 seasons and 123 games, averaging 20 touches from 18 appearances this year.
The 28-year-old winger officially nominated Essendon as his new home at the opening of the Continental Tyres Trade Period this week, with the Dons exchanging a future 2026 third round selection for his signature.
Although Fiorini entered this off-season as an unrestricted free agent, the Dons opted to secure his services via trade, as to hold onto their compensation pick from Sam Draperās departure.
Selected with pick No. 20 in the 2015 National Draft, the former Greensborough talent is keen to return to Victoria to officially join the Bombers for 2026 and the years ahead.
āIām super excited to be joining the Bombers, and to join such a big Club with a rich history is really special to me,ā Fiorini said.
āHaving been in the system for 10 years I feel I can bring leadership and experience to the young and exciting group, both on and off the field. I want to bring my high work rate, footy IQ and help support the Clubās direction.
āIām really looking forward to this new challenge, and itās great to be moving closer to home and to be joining a Club that is hungry for success. I canāt wait to be a part of that.ā
Fiorini appeared in each of the SUNSā first two finals in Club history this year, cementing his spot in the side once again through a blistering run of form in the second half of the campaign.
His dominant 32-touch, one-goal effort against eventual premiers Brisbane in the round 20 QClash was a standout effort in a season that ranked among his best to date.
Essendonās General Manager ā List and Recruiting Matt Rosa is excited to bring Fiorini aboard.
āWe are extremely excited to have Brayden, Molly and son William join the club. We see a clear role for Brayden on the wing, itās a role-specific target we were after leading into this period. Brayden has great leadership qualities, is a high-end character and has great footy IQ. Thereās no doubt heāll complement our midfield mix,ā Rosa said.
āHe provides us with reliable, immediate impact on and off-field and is the calibre of character we want driving standards at the Essendon Football Club.ā
ā¦
Heās a bit more of a FIAT.
Is he tough?
Glad to hear he can kick well.
FIAT 500?
Yep, can play inside and an excellent two way runner
