Dutton Group was bought out by a Japanese company worth about $7B earlier this year. As a result, I imagine this is the start of a bigger push by them and I wonder (hope) if they’re paying us a bit overs as they start to really try and build their brand.

On the surface, it seems like a VFL level sponsor, but maybe that is the point and this will lift their profile.
How many people had honestly heard of Etihad when they were announced as naming rights sponsors of the Docklands stadium?
(No, I’m not comparing Dutton Automotive to Etihad Airways. Well, I sort of am, but you know what I mean.)

I only knew about Duttons as a luxury car dealer in Richmond but that’s because I like cars. I had no idea they were this big.
