Love how quiet all this was with the club with no leaks.

is it a full time role?

or a token consultant role we’re paying him stupid amounts for?

Yeah I’m delighted. Could be the most significant off-field appointment the club has made in over 40 years. Been a bit flat about the club just being ■■■■ year after year but this has put a spring in my step. I can’t wait for next year! We will still be down the bottom but I think now we should be able to put a program together that will lead to sustained success.

I think this position is what has been alluded to in the media about splitting the GM of Football role into 2 positions. Horse gets this, which to me looks more aligned with coaching, process and strategy and Rosa I think was mooted for a more senior role, but i’m unsure if it’s the other role they’ve suggested.

There’s still also the Danny Daly rumours which haven’t (yet) been put to bed.

Yeah, as the old saying goes, time will tell but it does have a good feel to it atm. Maybe Welsh actually has a clue?

Lots of footy in this
“In the role, Longmire will oversee game strategy, player development, leadership, the coaching group, performance analytics and strength and conditioning”.
