Welcome to Essendon - there might be more last list spots…

Presumably on the LTI.

I don’t mind that idea for state-league club players

Patton was stood down by the Hawks in January while the club completes an investigation into allegations he sent lewd and highly inappropriate messages to women in recent years. He is also dealing with mental health issues.

Between Patton’s health and the prospect of a heavy sanction from the league, industry sources suggest there is no guarantee he will play again for the Hawks.

How can you recruit a bloke to replace someone facing a heavy sanction from the AFL? What will they do if the AFL gives him 12 weeks? If he is stood down he is just that, you can’t punt him over to the LTI list and replace him.

Bring everyone in and then cut the duds!

Out of interest is Norwood ■■■■■■ at Callow or just Hawthorn?

The system and the Hawks.
Norwood want their players to go on and progress but clubs baulked on Callow at numerous drafts and now through poor management they feel the need to add to their squad. Norwood hopes he goes on and plays AFL this year and will be filthy if he sits in the VFL all year. Hawks also apparently let it slip to the club that Callow being Tasmanian would also “be a bonus” for their Tasmanian market

The AFL really needs to get their ■■■■ together if they allow a guy who did the wrong thing to be replaced by a club for a teenager.

Collingwood would be spewing.
They could of done the same thing last year with beams if im correct.

What about if it’s like the tsunami situation where the Melbourne player was killed?

Obviously there can be strict exemptions but I don’t think flashing dik picks qualifies

But, mental health dik pics aren’t the same thing are they?

If it’s a replacement for Scully or Sicily that makes sense. So “replacing” in terms of position, but not in terms of list spot. If they get an additional in Patton’s list spot I’d think that’s pretty dubious.

I disagree with those saying the AFL should get their ■■■■ together. This is giving players an opportunity to make a career out of the AFL if they are good enough. VFL, SANFL, WAFL etc… can always find other players to give opportunities to.

You are punishing players like Callow, Snelling etc by not allowing it.

Its a hard one.

like Stack paid off for tigers big time.

Crauford didnt play a game, and got stuck in a covid season, and could have got his chance at SANFL level.

Snellings been good from PSD.

I think Hawks will do alright if the get Callow IMO.

You show me one thread where the thread title matches the content.

If they can afford to cut Patton and pay him off, I’ve got no problem with it.
