Have seen footage of Jackson Callow the Taswegian, I thought we should have picked him up.
So are we going to sign any new players before the deadline next Tuesday?
With Mozzie and now Hurls now Shirley on the LTI there are at least two spots available.
IMO we should be filling these spots to give a couple of kids a trial, it’s a free hit. Maybe another small defender or small forward.
Shirley will be a big loss.

Shirley is much underrated. I always wondered about his feminine name but the boy wasn’t affraid to win the hard ball. And Laverde and Shirley worked well together in the forward line (joke for those born in the 70’s or earlier).

We’ll keep a spare spot for the mid season recruiting options. Which makes perfect sense since there’s a very real chance that some of the best (in hindsight) kids weren’t drafted last year and need to play some TAC / VFL to find their feet.

If Hurley and Mozzie are on the LTI list we will have two free spots on the list. Hopefully one more player signed on by Tuesday and save one for the mid season draft.
We would have 3 free list spots wouldn’t we? I thought we had one left over from the Rookie draft, and then one for Ross McQuillan, one for Mozzie and one for Hurls. That’s 4 and we’ve used one on Waterman. (that’s if we end up putting Hurley on the LTI).

We’ve potentially got 4. But I don’t think Mozzie or Hurley are on the LTI.
Putting Hurley on the LTI and grabbing a player to replace him is scratching him out for the year. A little premature perhaps?
