Was it clear the context was someone not drafted by anyone, or could he have been talking up Eyre or Brand? Because its definitely a Sheedy MO to talk up players we’ve drafted late.

I saw the interview - he was out at one of the racecourses with Dennis Pagan, promoting something. From the way he said it, it sounded as if he was referring to a mystery player rather than someone already recruited. But then, he might have been making mischief. Had that twinkle in his eye.

Cheers. Someone in the other thread said a bulldogs trainee played today, so it’s surprising he isn’t named. I had assumed unlisted players may not have clearance to play, only “permission to train”
Nigel played in the practice games and even the Who Cares Cup last year, didn’t he?
Mind you, it’d be just like the AwFuL to change the rules, wouldn’t it?..
