Yep, answered some questions. Francis deserves to stay as does most of the team. Need a better goal kicking coach - misses of easy shots by Stringer and Hooker really cost us. Goddard has been a champion for the club, but plays like a testy draught horse now - rest him the next game and bring in someone Red -

I thought that when you had a free paid against you, the ball had to be returned on the full. The tiges just dropped it at least twice with the most obvious one in the last couple of minutes when Hooker kicked his goal.

With Raz we would have won that, with Brown that makes a total of 2 essendon players who present to the ball carrier not run away from them, and even with that slight of a number we can win games
just to think if we had more than 2 players who actually tried to get some space on their opponent so we could actually pass to somebody coming out of the backline
then maybe, just maybe, we could play like a normal football team

This year is not a failure if they learn from it and improve again next year. It’s frustrating because on their last 13 games they are a top 8 side. I can’t fault the effort in those games. I think they can deliver, but it’s been a long time and next year is the year to finish top 4.

Had a real crack in the last. Pressured the fk outta them. Costly misses by Baguley & Hooker. Our turnovers still kill us. A bit more ball winning ability and class in the middle with a fit Raz, Daniher, McKernan, Gleeson & Ambrose and look out in 2019.

Well, we came really close this year. Think next year will be a different story. The list looks good. Can’t foresee major changes.

A premiership team missing 7 players isn’t the same as a lesser team missing their best. Just isn’t even close. It’s a stupid argument to even make.
They also retained most of their most important players which helps them enormously.
