Ruining an old but otherwise perfectly good pair of shoes because some imbecile decides that they are above cleaning up after their dog in public parks.
Thereâs a jerk who takes his daughter and dog to the local playground, lets his dog â â â â in the playground - and I mean in and around the playground equipment! - and doesnât clean it up. Iâve waited for him to clean it up twice only to watch him walk off - thinking âsurely notâ. There wonât be a third time.
I was told by an anaesthetist kids on average get sick ten times a year, each bout lasting 1-2 weeks on average but if they go to child care, its 30 times a year so essentially they are permanently sick with the occasion good run of a week here and there. Having a 2 and 4 year old, I agree with it completely.
Oh and doctors that say kids who are teething donât get sick can kiss my a**.
Has been sick for about 10days but temp/chesty for last 3. 3 days of childcare and already sick. Been projectile vomitted on twice in 12 hours and currently sitting in her room with her asleep on me as she wonât sleep in her cot.
Teething doesnât cause illness but it does lower the immune system making them more susceptible.
Freaking germ factories.
I can definitely empathise with you. Not a fun place to be in. I remember when we started childcare the first time, she spent more time at home sick than actually at childcare. I reckon the wife and I took more sick days in those early days than either of us had for our entire working careers before that!
The only consolation is when they are better, it feels like a massive weight has lifted: colours seem brighter, the flowers smell sweeter and satan-incarnate turns into that bundle of joy again. Probably not telling you anything new there though.

Best reason for putting a video camera in a phone is prickz like that.

Weâve just emerged from one of those cycles. 2yo got sick on his birthday two weeks ago. Then I had to take days of to look after him. Then I got sick. Then my partner got sick. Son will be going back to daycare on Friday. Please, please, please give us a month off. It is torturous.
Ive got a mate who is getting close to retirement so has picked up a job at Bunnings in the Gardening department. He is very experienced, has Diploma quals, very knowledgeable.
He often gives bunnings stories over a few beers when we catch up.
Last week it was about a couple who came in and said they wanted to kill a tree in their front yard. After he showed them some tree killer and explained how to apply it they said âso then the tree will dissapear?â
Not everyone who shops or works there are dickheads. But a lot are.

First winter in childcare is brutal. Might as writeoff the 3 months. It does get better the following years.
Yeah, weâre just coming out of it now. Or rather about a month ago, but the youngest is getting more teeth so thereâs that now. Next year the eldest starts school, so the new environment there will start âsicklyfâ all over again.
I was told that kids who have been to childcare get less sick when they start school so hopefully thatâs the fase for you.
True in my experience. Now in grade 2 and maybe has had 2 colds in the last 3 years. Chronically sick in the first few years of creche.
Not being picked in first grade and missing out on the Regional Big Bash final on the MCG today, and instead sitting through a WQA audit at work.
Then feeling â â â â â â because you should be happy for your younger brother who was selected but instead can only feel angry and jealous.
Then getting more upset because you know that 3 blokes in the team havenât made a f***ing run all year while youâve been piling on the runs in 2nd grade captaining a team full of teenagers and generally having the best season of your career.

Does the coach/Selector have sons?
No - canât use that one, and no Marshâs in our team either.
For the record, Doutta batman Ben Speake hit the penultimate ball of the match for 6 to win the Cricket Victoria Regional Big Bash Final.
Boys are shattered, though I suspect the bus ride home will probably go some way towards alleviating that situationâŚ

The key is to find that bloke like your mate in Bunnings rather than some drip like the awkward teenager off the Simpsons. Otherwise Itâs a â â â â â â â of a place.
Doctor says I need to call the IC reg.
I sing back at him, quite loudly, âWhen Iâm walking down the streetâŚâ
Ah. Youâre Chinese. And about ten years old.
Doctor says to another doctor, âOh, I didnât see you there.â
Without looking up I say, âYouâre like a ninja.â
Ah, I see youâreâŚand so are⌠runs away

Well you're shitt outta luck there Billy. Masters will either cease to exist, or become Bunnings stores in the very near future.
Yep, brother is regional manager in Sydney for the parent company and they are laying off people daily. Trying to drop the company like a hot spud. We have 2 new ones in Adelaide that are about half built and work has stopped now. Masters will be gone within a couple of months
Is it closer to park in masters car park and walk to Bunnings than it is to walk to masters entrance?
If so no wonder they're closing.
Is this standard practice to build next door to the opposition?
In Lismore they built the Masters store directly next door to the Bunnings store. I wonder if Bunnings will just do a big extension and take over the Masters building when they fold? They could call it a Super Bunnings, or most likely Supa Bunnings.
