What is the earliest time you can mow your lawn on a Sunday?

If you are out of bed before 10am on a Sunday when you don’t have to be then you’re doing it wrong.

If your mower comes in at around 80 decibels or so it shouldn’t bother anyone. I would rather be hearing a lawn mower at even 90db than the neighbor’s crap hip hop at 4.30am.

yep, 10am is the earliest allowed in Knox council area. plenty seem to fire up around 9am though. i had the welder and angle grinder going at 10.15 this morning, lol.

brief aside: i hate using angle grinders, they scare the crap out of me. i’d wear chain mail to use one if i had any, i’m that paranoid about them. a necessary evil in my job.


Used to sh*t bricks using a 9" grinder.

Breathed a sigh of relief when they got banned.

Those petrol powered concrete/block cutters should be next.

Yeah, those angle grinders are bad news. My mate, Andrew (also a mad Bombers supporter), used an angle grinder with a cutting blade and bounced it off the wall and into his arm! Ended up with nice zig zag scar up his arm and a trip to the hospital. Luckily didn't chop anything important, but the blood splatters up the wall and were impressive to say the least. Gave his missus a nice shock when she got home to find it.

Back on topic… when you live in the bush you can cut your lawn whenever you feel like it! Even better get a couple of sheep and let them chew it down. Living in the Northern Rivers you have to cut it once a week in summer or else it turns into a ■■■■■■ jungle… sucks when it rains and you can’t get the ride on out as it will bog down and you have to wait a couple of weeks! The mower shops in town all have a run on new cutting belts as the long grass snaps the old ones easily.
