What needs changing at this club?

you’d think it’d rub off on the players however.

only one like that we have is smith.

Shiel exploding from stoppages, Parish good when onball, Francis again stood up.

We lost to st kilda, with a worse effort in the first half than all of last week

There were zero positives today

We are cooked

Wait, you’re serious?

Inference of a less than optimal preseason, poor JLT form and not sensing we had ourselves set properly for the season.

All evidence points to this player being spot on.

And more annoying given that Worsfold said he didn’t see the round 1 pounding coming. Either woosha is lying or even worse he is out of touch.

Last two weeks were disappointing, but I think there were some positives in the second half.
Looking forward to Marty Gleeson getting back into the side, Hooker, Daniher…May look like a different team then.

It would not surprise me if a player who had been playing at the elite level for 12-13 years is thinking in the off-season “what are we doing?!” “This new game style is not going to work” “That drill is not helping” “That set play won’t work”. The guys have been on the field for 200+ games and potentially would have a far better feel than the coaching staff.

Maybe this is why said senior player said as much.

Well, Tim Watson said that on TF last week. That’s hardly a keep it under your hat scenario there.

It’s been 6 days since our first H&A game and we’re fried. I mean I’d love to say I didn’t see this coming…but I feel like I did see this coming. Like it’s just so Essington.

It’s a long season, we’re slow starters and don’t have Hooker, Joe, and Redman. I’m hanging in there personally. St Kilda will surprise some people this year, and GWS are incredibly impressive.

Exactly what all these people are saying. Hence I don’t wanna say the player because in a sense he was right. And I don’t want said player to cop ■■■■ for something he is right about. Though, to be honest, I don’t like it because I am sick of all the excuses. My hunch is that our senior players don’t play with a winners attitude. So it’s a blurry line for me…

Their are no winners out of it.

Our percentage is cooked and we need to win at least 13 games from 20 if we want to play finals. It’s not happening, I’m not even trying to be negative.

That’s such a zaka thing to say

Saints are aweful.

GWS were by no means peak performing.

We are really that bad.

Bottom 4 at best and no draft picks.

Which suggest the person who approved (Richardson and X) the trading for Shiel should be sacked if they knew we were that far off and did it anyway.

List is good enough.

Culture is not.

Leadership on and off field is not.

Trouble is - it becomes self-defeating! So if you think you’re no good on the field, you’ll play that way. Confidence is everything - and you sense it on the field - a ‘we’re not good enough’ mentality.

Melbourne will be smarting after their thrashing tonight. They will molest us and assault us on Friday night, and the Lions always play well in Melbourne against us. In such a tight competition at 0-4 we’re nearly gone just a month in!!

Correct. This is what ■■■■■ me about our senior players.

PS. Prior to the JLT this year, Champion Data rated Essendon as having the 4th best list in the comp.

The same GWS who got turned over by 9 goals tonight and the same bottom 4 st kilda who beat gold coast by 1 point? And our saviours in hooker (two soft tissue injuries in 6 weeks) Redman (played 2 good senior games ever) and Joe who basically hasn’t had a effect since 2017 are going to turn our season around?

Oh boy. I admire your positivity man, but geez. Yeah. I cant even. All the best to you
