Look, unemotionally, this is probably true. But given the finish to the season last year, I can definitely understand the response in this thread. Bitterly disheartening…we just hope it doesn’t translate to the real stuff.
Had the hot chips… average… had chicken salt which was a bonus
He’s borderline VFL standard
McGrath doesn’t have a belly button
I ate at Robo cafe before tha game. Robots deliver your food.
Jones lol, no wonder 0 game Hunter was the pre season great hope, Caddy will need to come on quick to help out 2mp cause there ain’t much else
Last three games have been complete beltings ……100+, 70+, 60+ losses
This has a similar feeling to previous years. Turn up to the first hit out not ready.
Have we got Geelong Rd 1?
I’m watching the replay. Saints are so well drilled defensively. We just our pants and turn ball over.
There were also a number of times where our players were yelling at each other. I hope the wheels that fell off late last year have been put back on but perhaps not
We simply cannot roll up this season with laverde and heppell best 22 down back
But who am i kidding. We 100% will
i went.
Lots on here say only a practice game blah, blah. Both sides fielded their best and tried their best.
Endeavour was fine - about the same for both sides. Midfield fairly even, at least in the first half when the best 22 for each were playing.
There was only one glaring difference for me, and its stood out like dogs’ testes - we don’t kick the ball well enough. St. Kilda hit targets almost every time, and you can’t put pressure on ball movement and set up defensively if the keep hitting up short targets and moving the ball, which they did. When we try to do the same, we regularly miss targets and the ball is back in play. Going forward of centre, St. Kilda marked our kicks time and time again, which is the opposite of what it should be. We are a poor kicking side, full stop. No amount of winning clearances and team defence compensates for failing to keep possession when kicking, while the opposition does.
havent read through this thread but is anyone coming out with comments that its only a meaningless pre-season game and ppl shoudlnt overreact?
These comments from Brad need to be put on the white board at each game
“I really felt last year was the time to say enough’s enough, this is what an elite AFL lifestyle looks like and if you can’t live that lifestyle, you’re not going to be
here for very long.”
“If we have players who aren’t going to buy into that part of our program, in terms of the investment in the elite AFL lifestyle, they’ll stand out, and they’ll stand out in a bad way, so it will be quite easy to make the changes to our list that we need to make.
Which is why we stick to the bomb long gameplan. Only problem is we don’t have anyone that can mark the ball either.
AFL club full of players just happy to have a kick and giggle on the weekend shows no improvement, stagnation and gets belted, again.
Happy clapper supporters:
Jones very disappointing. I just hope and expect that high leaping contested marking ability shown in 2021 will return with continuity and game time.
He’s like 6"3 isnt he? how tall do you want them
He’s your man!!!
7’3. Preferably 10ft if possible.
