Where's the team and game day - preseason 2024 v aints?

I need to see a dramactic improvement in tackling, pressuring, defending etc for me to have any hope of us having a decent season

Yesterday was nightmare fuel and has taken the wind out of the sails for the season ahead.

We had like a third of the first team not playing or going off at HT, so you wouldn’t expect to see a lot of synergy.

Effort and skills though, well…

Goldstein must be thinking he is back at Norf again!

Ha ha come back in 3 months

Hill
Kicks in 20 m runs past by himself then runs another 15m kicks unopposed

It can’t be that hard not to at least pick him up

Basic stuff like this is what kills us

Oh and did I mention we are slooooooow

Once again no run no dare

Rinse repeat

We will still win the flag.

Problem is, performances like those affect all players and their confidence…For mine, we do have to try remain calm and see how the team responds down at the Cattery next week. There is no alternative.

But if we’re ■■■■■ again and we get whipped by Hawthorn in R1 then let the debate go feral … Personally I’m as tired as all of us having to witness an insipid EFC bunch out there on the ground.

LID OFF!

Yeah, I’m sure every club has a core list of 6-8 kids they say the same for.

The white one is ours to lose.

We won 3 games in the second half of last year, a home win against Adelaide and two of the softest wins against terrible teams in North and West Coast. Meanwhile good teams where flogging us week in and out.

Where did the delusion that we were primed to jump up the table and win finals come from?

But for a new coach honeymoon at the start of last year we were pretty close to a bottom 4 side.

Besides, Martin, Perkins and Durham have already played more than 40 games and Hobbs is nearly there.

P.S. It might have been meant as 40 more games into them all.

That’s exactly true and I’m not pinning any great hope that our next team is going to be good.

But I know a team with Lav, Kelly, Heppel, Hind, McGrath, Sheil, Guelfi and Stringer in it is definitely not good enough. We’ve allready proved that.

Windhager broke his hand in the match

could’ve been worse for us

If i was the cats id be asking for a real opponent, a tough match would be an ideal lead in to round 1. Playing against essendon is not like playing a proper opposition

Well why the fuark wasnt our coach there?

What kind of unprofessional bullshit is this club doing.

Its just year after year of strange decisions and im so over it.

Yeah, we’ve shown the current crop of experienced players can’t get it done, we need to send these guys up as much as possible, and hope future drafts bring talent to compliment. We’re a long way off being a finals threat.

but you know they’re gonna get picked over the kids and we’re gonna extend the middling side for another 3 years at least.

I just don’t see it with those kids either…

Oh boy.

Geelong will be licking thier lips they love to bully us any time weather its practice games or in the season.

When they eventually do beat us by 10 goals next week we will have to hear from the media how Geelong are back in premiership contention at our expense.

Meawhile we will hear the same excuese coming from the players post game
