Is Cockatoo actually good or are people just focused on the last month?
Largely forgotten through the year through injuries but his game against the AIS reminded people what he was capable for. Add his draft camp tests and he shoots back up the order again.
North will swoop with either 16 or 25 you would think. He's trained with them so there is a good level of familiarity and Norf like to get mids early in the draft. My hope is that they look at their already strong bodied mid brigade and opt for a different type..
Either way, there should be some good options for us at 17 and 20- first round runs deep with 10-25 quite even

it may be that North will choose between Cockatoo & Goddard at 16 and we then take the one of they don't take.....will shape the draft from that point forward.
Like Tom Lamb with one of our selections, bit of a project player but from all accounts tremendous upside. Could probably end up playing a similar role to Smith at Hawthorn only better overhead. If we did take him the other pick would have to be able to play next year.

Will more than likely available at our picks - early second rounder at a current comparative level ( a few other Jets colleagues ahead of him) but has up-side and the height to play the modern midfield game. Needs a few pre-seasons in the gym though and plenty of KFC!
Has an awful lot of Cale Morton about him does Menadue.
Garlett seemed to turn over almost every kick in that highlights package, hopefully that's not a true indication of his disposal...
His disposal was much better in the second (and third?) Game, second half of the video.
Think Lamb could be an option at 20, offers a fair bit of flexibility as a midfielder/fwd option. Not a defender, but might be able to release Carlisle back if we needed coverage.
Lamb would team well with Hams, especially at the Club bbq.
Really encouraging to see there’s no duds in the top 40…

I've seen Goddard's highlight reel, as well as De Goey's , K.Langford's, T.Lamb's and C.Ellis's. None of them really stood out to me.... I don't see much there....
Now, the one i was most impressed by is Jack Lonie... I think he will make it... Looks like the proper small forward that we need... Crumbs/Kick goals/Takes Marks/Has pace/Tackles... He's a real smoky.. Anyone seen him play?

Cale Morton? LOL. No.
I saw Morton play countless times at AFL and VFL level and he never remotely tore a game apart.
I really should stay out of these threads. Need this kid look at those highlights - never seen him play, I don't care if he does absolutely bugger all for the rest of the game - highlights!
Nah, don't pick that kid, highlights weren't impressive enough.
On Jack Lonie, he had a really strong finals series and I'd much prefer him to his teammate Tom Lamb, but unless we're not upgrading Ambrose we won't be looking at him - he isn't worth a top 20 pick.
