That was probably the settlement.
You settle when you want a quick resolution.
We obviously wanted him out ASAP so just threw a ton of cash at him to Fark off.

The best bit was that he was part of the panel to hire the coach and the review that we commissioned so possibly played a role in designing the governance process that was used to ■■■■ up his own hire.

And if you dont know for the record, they were caught charging customers fees for no service. i couldn’t give a sh%t whether hes a Christian or not. Everyone’s entitled to their own faith and beleifs.
As far as im concerned, he should never have been given the CEO job considering he was on the selection panel to begin with. Thats massive conflict of interest, even if he had “left the panel” to join the race. Another horrid example of Essendon circumventing the process to hire whoever they want.
Furthermore, we were supposed to be headhunting a CEO with a “football focus” and decided to hire a guy with zero experience in football…

Exactly where did I defend him in any of these posts? He should never have been hired based purely on the NAB stuff.
