What’s the inspiration for that comment?
Dishonesty is a big call.

Okay. Sorry.

Unfortunately yes.

Blah blah blah blah

We’re jacking up the prices by 10% and you morons will actually go on a waitlist to hand over your money to us.

Blah blah blah

Yours sincerely

Too long didn’t read after I realised it was a sales pitch.

Reserved seats being all taken surprises me. My bay is always half empty or full of twats supporting the other team.

Two interesting points I noted in that.

  1. It noted reserved seat packages were at capacity - I call bs on that. The reserved seat sections in 2024 were not as expansive as 2/3 years ago. Noting 2025 reserved seating expected to have wait list! Is this conditioning us for reserved seating bays (not seats)?

  2. Still talking about an extra MCG home game. If this isn’t delivered in 2025 they need to turnover their commercial team.

Wait a minute - how do they know exactly what the arrangement is if we don’t know where we’ll be playing? Our contract with Marvel is up.

What’s the latest on all that? Would love to return to the G.

I read the letter and found it profoundly depressing.

Translating all the feel-good jargon, what it actually says is that everyone’s very sad about our performance in the second half of the season, and they’re all working very hard to find a way to make things better.

Which basically means, they have no idea why it all went wrong, and so far they have no idea how to turn things around.

Which is exactly what it looks like from the outside. There’s no direction or purpose to the club, because nobody is actually giving them direction and purpose.

I fully expect us to have a summer filled with stories of hard work, some signings of players who could be anything but to this point have been average at best, and then another season very much like the last two.

Ah well. Somewhere, sometime, a saviour will emerge. Kevin Sheedy picked up the club by the scruff of the neck in 1981, and by and large kept it successful for 27 years. Yes, it could have been better, but throughout that period we always had hope and it always felt as though there was a plan in place. It’s now nearly 20 years since he was kicked out (at exactly the wrong time), and we’re still waiting for a new leader. Barham, Vozzo and Scott are not it.

Reserved seat membership is full, but not to capacity.

Wait so…

  • we’re disappointed with the second half fade out (yet again)

  • this isn’t who we are etc

  • the players are committed…

  • we need to remain financially independent because reasons…

  • your membership dollars help us stay financially independent…

  • if you don’t pay us you are the reason we can’t be more successful

Also membership prices are going up.

K thx bai

I take it all back, maybe vozzo shouldnt communicate with the members.

I still have my reserved home and away seat membership, I’ll be fuming if they do that.

That makes no sense whatsoever. It’s an email launching 2025 membership price increases and some new member features.

It has nothing to do with what they may or may not know about turning on field performance around.

Fans will be upset becuase Vozzo didnt say we weill blow up the list, trade everyone, sack brad and start a rebuild

I thought upon opening it was going to be a response to media speculation of unrest in the playing group and the captain wanting out with some key phrases like “united playing group”, “synergies”, “hurting”, “no stone unturned”… Yet all Vozzo brings is a 5hitty sales pitch from the X playbook.
