That's what I hate about the current system, the incentive to plead guilty basically means no incentive to challenge when their is no match immediately at stake. However that decision has cost him a game this time round (granted he may not have played anyway, as others have said). Similar situation when Carlisle was reported and made ineligible for the Rising Star a couple of years ago.
The system is BS. The other week Ballantyne got referred to the tribunal, not because the incident was so heinous, but because his carry over points would've resulted in lengthy suspension for a minor incident. The result? It got thrown out.
Sorry, but if you've got carry over, then you can't complain when it dials up the suspension. That's the system
Trouble is though, with Watson out, Hibberd and Carlisle also unlikely to play we're well short of the side to beat Geelong on the rebound and who is being bashed up a bit in the media today. What makes you think Hibberd unlikley? Bomber confirmed it was a corky and he played the game out, think he would be likely to play. Carlisle I reckon was more about team balance and Bomber not wanting to eat humble pie by putting him up forward.
