The Sheedy / dodo nuffies and the “go support another club” mob will get sucked in no doubt
Yep.
I’d consider getting one if I could choose the exact seat that my old man and my uncle usually sat in as a ‘family momento’.
It would be great if you could actually ‘reserve that seat’ at every game there.
Shouldn’t be too hard to monitor. Just show your ID that matches the name of the plaque.
If you buy this plaque you are enabling mediocrity
thats lifetime member David Evans to you bucko
wait someone not dmapes posted about the plaques?
Will these plaques fall apart in the wet?
I’ll get my coat…
does it matter? as long as they think they stay affixed to the wall its good enough
To keep you informed, the initiative is designed as a fundraiser to raise money for the Windy Hill redevelopment. The initiative is directly linked to that project…
Well I reckon stuff ‘em. Asked us to donate to the Flight Plan so we could move out of Windy Hill, now asking us to donate to save Windy Hill.
I saw the photo of Kevin and deleted the email, I didn’t even bother to see what the message was about. This club refuses to move on and it shows in everything they do. Why are we pumping money into a third oval and facilities we have no control over?
Hands out as always. It’s insulting. Win some ■■■■■■■ games and earn it.
Fucken still fuming about that one.
Because it’s still the heart and soul of Essendon. It’s home to a successful and profitable social club, gymnasium and pool. And it’s an ideal venue for AFLW / VFL where they can attract 4-5,000 spectators to watch fixtures whilst concurrently spending money at the precinct. I don’t have a problem jointly investing in the precinct with council and government.
Paid for a Windy Hill paver back in the day. Are they still there?
Nice ideals but reality is a little harsher. We should talk with Carlton and get our VFL and AFLW to play games at Princes Park. Windy Hill is a black hole and a massive distraction.
Yes…
I disagree but whatever.
I am personally sick and tired of hearing about Windy Hill. We moved, move on.
Do the Pies still go on about moving from Vic Park? No, they moved on and have been successful ever since. I don’t know where this delusion has come from that the training facilities location makes any difference to team performance. It’s just an excuse.
Collingwood are using Vic Park as we use Windy Hill - AFLW/VFL home ground.
Ohh, the whole spiritual base thing. Yeah, they shifted that to Olympic Park (or whatever it is) and haven’t looked back.
