Well, it should always have been paid a penalty.
I agree his initial call was wrong. but it’s not used and when it is it makes it look like a joke waiting for minutes.
Like Brazil for sure should have had it used, basically any challenge in the box. I hate the inconsistency, and the way it just stops the game.

That’s it, it was a terrible initial call. If they know VAR is there then they don’t call it. Then just make all box challenges go to VAR.
This could get real ugly for Korea any minute now.
If a VAR appeal shows a guy has dived, or otherwise feigned contact, he should be sent off, and that team not entitled for any more VAR.
That covers the Brazil VAR suggestion.
