That game was totally decided by that umpires. The life was totally sucked out of the game. And dont even get me started on danger getting off compared to everything else this year.
Its impossible to take afl footy serously, absolute shambles.

Looked okay to me
The chumps didn’t exactly cover themselves in glory tonight. I don’t often comment on them, but in a word they were woeful, except for the third quarter where they were positively direbollockal.
I think the umpiring did the following.
It took an incredibly hard defensive game and blew it apart by handing four goals to one side and denying a couple to the other.
If we had a functioning forward line with avenues to goal then it wouldnt have mattered.
But it did.
The end result should have been a coin toss, ended up geelong thumping us.
But we didnt look like winning the game on our terms.
Our forwards have been average
Can we please not do this.
I’ll allow it.
Even with the generic title.
You’re focusing on the wrong things.
The club is cooked to the core.
The umpires are a distraction.
I think it should be describe tonights umpiring in a gif.
The pantheon is now
ANZAC 2019
Elimination Final v WB
Tonight
I seem to recall some game where Nicholls went HAM early 2010s in Sydney
Troy Pannell vs Swans round 2, 2011
Yep it was Pannell
Don’t forget that Port game at Marvel 10 or so years back.
At least commentators highlighted umpire errors at 3 qtr time
Even Lingy was very critical of their favouritism of Geelong.
Yep that was the game pretty much done once that third quarter of umpiring blew a wet weather game out. We should have come back like usual, but still I’m sure it would have been practically dead even at 3 quarter time without the maggots influence. It seemed to get to the players this week too.
Let us not forget the WORST UMPIRING EVER.
The only time they could not cover up their corruption.
The only time EVERY maggot on the ground saw what was happening.
The only time MILLIONS of others watching the game also saw the offence in real time.
The ONLY time the maggots were actually alerted of the offence by a player who saw what was farking blatantly obvious to everyone else.
Of course, it is the famous incident where Rampe CLIMBED the goalposts.
The maggots totally forgot that they had reported Dustin Fletcher for touching a goal post once.
And decided: there is nothing to see here. We must follow our instructions to give the AFL “the result they need”.
What happened?
Of course Essendon lost due to the maggots
Of course the AFL backed up the maggots: the most obvious case of maggot corruption in history was officially called by the arch-Rsole Gil as “Sensible Umpiring”.
Of course Essendon did not demur. Just laid down again like it has done as the AFL’s ■■■■■for the last 70+ years.
At best they were incompetent, at worst they were corrupt…wonder which it was. We all know that at least one umpire has been betting in the past. Wonder if he had some mates out there last night?
Its legitimately one of the worst umpired quarters of football I have ever seen and definitely decided the game.
My dad has been telling me for years that the games are pre determined by the umpires, and while I have always laughed it off last night was the first time I really started to question it.
It genuinely looked like they just did not want Geelong to lose.
Having said that, I would have liked to have seen us really crack in and fight a bit harder though and we should have been up by at least 3 or 4 goals coming into the 3rd.
