The main issue with our rucks (besides Tbell and Giles being well down on form), is that they are all probably better as 2nd rucks. Smack would probably be the hardest 2nd ruck match up of the 3 because of his mobility. We desperately need a reliable number 1 ruckman... and we should throw the farm at someone, maybe a Lobbe type. If Tbell goes it apparently releases a whole lot of cash...
I actually think TBell and Smack could go ok as a combo basically splitting the ruck 50/50. They both go ok as forwards.
But, I’m not sure we can play both of them, plus 2 tall forwards.
I’d be very interested to see how we go with a team like today’s with the following changes:
Carlisle goes back to replace Gwilt
TBell back in.
Smack in to replace Ambrose.
So Daniher would be forward with the resting ruck and 4 small, quicker types.

EDIT: hmmm. I think Muller was named but didn’t play. That day Willis was THE GIANT, it seems.

Tagliabue = has been held out by Smack and Giles, had a stinker last time he played for us
