I’ll take you word for it.

I didn’t bother watching another Essendon game after travelling to Geelong for the second Cats match

Smart

You want the next captain to be a guy who had an overseas holiday booked prior to our 2nd last game when finals was still a chance??

How could you possibly know when he booked his holiday?

People on here really just make up ■■■■ to support whatever preconceived notion they have of Brad being some ruthless unforgiving dog that makes players crumble in fear with just a look into their eyes.

I’m not buying that young side running out of steam.

Every other young side played till the end of the season without running out of steam, we were supposedly playing for finals.

Scott said it wasn’t fitness.

I have been told by someone who i trust that it was booked prior to the gws game and the club know and are furious with the person (one of the 4 who’s away). My contact wouldn’t tell me which of them booked it but i trust his info so whether Hobbs booked it or not, he knew it was being booked.

That is deeply concerning.

I meant more from a squad depth perspective. When the injuries started piling up, our lack of depth got exposed (as usual)

Collingwood can lose DeGoey, Howe and Daicos later in the year but can cover for them as they have a big group of senior players.

If that’s true, trade the ■■■■■ out. I don’t give a ■■■■ who it is. Club has been soft for way too long

Hey, we tried rushing back an overweight Stringer & a still very injured Draper. We also tried dropping young players showing promise for some older guys who had none.

Same drop off last year with just about every player booked in for Ibiza, yea nothing to see here.

@Finding_Nino alarming for a future captain.

We have poor depth, next to nothing in the VFL.

We know our development hasn’t been good though.

It’s all to do with culture most of it.

Stringer has played overweight since being at Essendon.

Trade him, he is cooked.

Draper shouldn’t have been played poor by Scott.

Tbf they did for half season and then collpased towards the end

depth outside the best 22 is an issue, but I think the biggest issue is the depth of ‘reliable’ senior players. Reliable meaning the players that you come to the ground and expect they likely will play at a high standard.

This year, it was really just Merrett, Langford, Parish, Ridley, Martin, Redman and McGrath (and Redman and McGrath can still put in stinkers every now and again).

It’s too much of a load on so few

That quote was just after the Fremantle game in round 5 last year. Three weeks later was the Sydney match for Heppell’s 200th.

They say the same stuff every season and nothing changes

Was refering to this year

Which is my point. Every year it’s the same thing.

We have a good run at some point in the season, the club gets ahead of itself, and then they put in horrible performances
