This is the whole point of why a lot of us aren’t fans of PANDO.
He came in with this big leadership tag on him, because he was a private school boy, school captain, and spoke “well”
Those that can see through him can see he just speaks corporate speak, is clearly well trained in public speaking, but his actual football actions dont represent what we would expect from a senior leader at the club.
Panic merchant, hospital handballs to young team mates.
Yes it may be player led, but the average footballer doesn’t know what a truly great leader is like, they see McGrath doing all the talking, and think that is what you need to be a great leader.
A true leader would see the divisive nature of his abilities and would step down.
Ok so ultimately what you’re saying is. The coaches and players don’t understand what leadership is, and you, a poster on a forum are better placed to make that decision? I mean personally I can understand criticising players on field talents or attributes because it’s what you can definitively see, but I don’t understand how you feel you are better positioned than the players and coaches to make choices on leadership. It’s what goes on behind the scenes that is most crucial to leadership. I just don’t think any of us here are in a position to say we know better
I’m not a McGrath basher but is it really that hard not to bounce the ball after only taking three steps. Surely that should have been trained out of him by now.
