Yep. He should be focusing on becoming the best player he can be before we parachute the kid into the captaincy.
He’s a very good footballer who has only played 30 odd games.
He was very composed today, works super hard and has an outstanding knack for finding the footy.
I’m not sure what more you could realistically be asking a player in his position to be doing at this point.

I don’t disagree with much of that. He’s a kid with a promising future and plenty to work on. Let him focus on becoming the best player he can be. I think the supporter hype is a little premature.

People here have piled on Blakiston today (and yes, he was atrocious), but I thought Captain Courageous was entirely dismal too. Failed abjectly in every role he was played in, treated us to a number of his trademark blind dump kicks and missed tackles, and every one of his opponents had a field day.
Just hopeless.

Captain Fumble. Every time he gets the ball I say “oh no” followed by grrrereaaahhhh as he turns it over or gets caught. He’s a ■■■■■■■ moron who continues to repeat the same mistakes every game.
