Play McGrath as a midfielder alongside Robey and Sharp. It would be a lot more accountable midfield. Durham to replace the young guns when they tire.
That Frees up Nguyen to play small defender and learn the role again. He was ok down there.
We are not in games, no matter if McGrath wins his Back pocket position.

I was very much a āwait and seeā type when he was given the captaincy and was even a touch optimistic after he produced possibly his best game for the club as a fill in captain last year.
But nothings changed. Heās still crap and fails to even do the basics right. I mean, ffs, why would a defender, let alone a fkn captain, play 5 metres off their man?
Duz as captain. McGrath to the reserves to work on his game.

Exactly, when he plays midfield he gets cooked and canāt chase
No oneās taking McGarth and his contract. Too many flaws in his game (like many on our list).

Heās a mediocre kick, heāll never really be a good winger.
Could not be more disappointed is his season both as a captain and as a player, was literally barely breaking into a trot on the weekend.

Pity he or any of his coaches havenāt felt the need to work on his kicking over the journey, I guess it would be pretty embarrassing for a no1 pick to have to work on such a basic skill so theyāve stuck theyāre head in the sand and avoided the elephant in the room.

Started the year inside mid, was pretty good. Got injured. Came back on a wing, sucked major balls.

I dont know who it should be but he better be making arrangements, even if it has to be some washed up leader from another club.

As a lockdown small defender he is still good and very useful
But he needs to stop calling for the ball and trying to kick it on the run. He needs to hit up 20-30m passes to the guys that can kick
