Can see where he gets his public speaking skills from

After watching that video all dump kicks and needless bounces are forgiven Andy! Might not be the best footballer but you can’t argue he isn’t a good human.

Often forgotten, myself included, when critiquing our players.

Can Mr McG Snr CEO?

Honestly, give him a role ASAP. What an articulate, and humble man. All the players would’ve taken something away from his speech.

How the hell has he already played 200 games

Because unlike most of our players, he is allergic to injury.

Oh and he prepares himself better than most, rarely, if ever gets suspended, and was drafted 10 years ago.

Don’t get to see many matches live but was at Andy’s debut game - Round 1 2017 against Hawthorn.

This was the famous first game back for all our suspended players. Flew down from Brisbane with my son to be a part of the pre-game march and to be involved in that and then experience the roar of the crowd and witness all those scarves being waved, as the boys came out on the field, is something that anybody who was there, will never forget.

And to be there for such a great win (especially over Hawthorn), seeing the players and their families (and supporters) rewarded after everything they had gone through was something extremely special.

And Andy was actually pretty darn good that day too - with over 20 possessions - dodging and weaving out of the backline. What a day to debut!

I don’t think he is a bad captain, but I do think he is way too team-orientated to the point where he forgets that he can lead with a dominant individual performance too, Luke Hodge type. I believe he has the ability but he’ll probably never win a B&F or get any individual accolades because of that.

He’s been poorly developed like many.

There was a game in his debut season where he absolutely towelled an eventual All-Australian Eddie Betts.

Not just defended him well (kept him goalless) but was a weapon rebounding out of defense all night too.

You better take that assessment up with Robert Shaw!

Post draft.

Couldn’t be less excited for a captains 200th game. You can’t dislike Andy but it’s hard to love him as captain

If he worked on his kicking as much as Tsatas has he’d go from C grade to maybe a B.
Nice guy off the field but doesn’t do anything to inspire the team on the field, hates contact.
Not a captain, just a good shut down back pocket unfortunately.

Pidge 200 game wine straight from cale hooker’s parent’s winery.

Love ya andy :black_heart::heart::black_heart::heart:

Who in their right mind is paying $139.95 for that.

Well done McGrath on 200 games

Whether you rate him or not, you can tell he does truly care about the club. So hopefully he gets chaired off after a win

You must be doing something right to play 100 games of AFL, but to get to 200 you have to be borderline exceptional.

Whilst the floors in his game and his abilities are obvious to some, his commitment and love for the club is just as obvious.

Congratulations to Andy. I hope he plays in the red and black for another 100 and the new coach can extract the best of his game more consistently and see him part of our next finals campaign.
