This is hard, here is a list of albums that I love. And often go back to. Interestingly a lot of the band’s that have been the most important to me over the years aren’t represented because their albums didn’t capture their live show.

It’s pavement at their best. It seems to me they’re very much a band of their time based on the DJ thread. If you don’t like the style, you’ll probably never like them. But in the post Nirvana world this album was perfect

This still holds up alright - would probably shift a couple around and change a couple.
Would have to fit in Megadeth - Rust in Peace, and Obituary - Cause of Death… too hard. Helmet - Betty. I think I could do a dedicated metal one.
James Brown - Payback probably takes the place of Mellow Gold, outside metal albums.

Does anyone else listen to the Footology podcast, where Connolly and Fine are presently counting down their top 20 songs and movies? I couldn’t care less what they list, but it means I’ve been thinking a lot about what my all-time favourite songs are recently.

Top 20 seems reasonable.
Edit: I bet you Connolly has Helmet and Mark of Cain top 1 and 2.
