#10 Isaac Kako

“The club eventually matched a Richmond bid for him at pick 13 after trading out its future first-rounder for the Demons 2025 first-round pick…” jon ralph.

When did Caddy join the big brother program?

Well picked
Consistently sloppy journalism to back the agenda that we stuffed up. Which is very wrong…

I think what’s been lost in all the Kako drama is how fantastic his hair actually is.

If Soul GLO was a real product this kid would have a major sponsorship already.

In ‘X’ today a guy called Ian Hume posts a step by step summary of the brilliance of our recruiters to get Kako, get other talent in this years draft and to build capital for the 2025 draft also.

This club gets a bum wrap from the media and many nuff nuff supporters so when we do things well under a new recruiting regime it’s important to acknowledge it.

It’s a great read and helps you understand the realities of trading, and how creative clubs have to be.

Well done bombers!!!

Agree with all the points made in that article. The amazing job done is due to the work of Matt Rosa, so some credit is due there. He had the imagination to work out the deal and the moxy to pull it off. Jackets would never have been able to do the same.

Purple Flog hasn’t read that many words that make sense and contain facts in 20 years.

The only thing that is missing from that is the situation where Kako is not bid on before our pick 9, and we are able to get another first round talent in addition to Kako.

But in this situation, we still go into 2025 with a points deficit, or have to weaken our 2025 draft hand to bring in 2024 points, and end up with 3 or so picks at the back end of this draft.

What we did was the only way to make sure we still had a strong 2024 draft, and preserved or improved our 2025 hand.

I’m absolutely certain that the same media pundits bagging us will be lauding our draft hand next year (especially after pick swap trades) and will retrospectively rewrite their analyses of this year. I can see the headlines now: “Masterstroke: how the Bombers STACKED draft hand was built”.

…and that is an example of why the Don the Stat podcast is a must listen.

We just need a couple of rising star nominations for them to rethink it.

Kako - would pencil him in for a nomination.
Gerryn & Day-Wicks would all be a chance for a nomination if had a big game.

Roberts last years draft still eligible might get nomination if holds down a bst 22 spot.
Caddy (10) & Tsatas (11) are 1+2 games off being eligible again.
Reid 9 games but too old now.

I doubt Purple even knows what a fact is.

Caddy is eligible. The criteria is 10 games or less.

He should be a red hot favorite for the award as well if he kicks 30+

Roberts, Caddy and Kako will all be very good chances for another nomination and hopefully a chance at the award come years end.

Yep spot on.

Plus Archie Roberts @ $41

Edit - actually just slapped $20 on Archie to win. I don’t think he can win it but I imagine he will play a full season and I’ll be able to cash out at some point.
