#10 Isaac Kako

He’ll go passed Watson imo

I think you are correct

He reminds me of Chapmen as well. I think it’s his low center of gravity and the fact he’s a strong little fella that loves the tough stuff.

I’m thinking of changing my username to Clone_Kako

Watson will be playing in finals for the media darling whilst Kako is doomed to mediocrity in a club that is becoming irrelevant

Cannot wait for Essendon to absolutely ruin this kid :fire:

Trade out of the first two rounds of a super draft?

I think we earned it.

How good is this. So my bro has been living in Korea and just got back with his wife and newborn baby. Anyway I converted my brother from a saints supporter to a bomber and that was brought up today. Anyway we had a family function at RSEA stadium, home of the saints. Been there many times but today had the U18’s playing a few games. This is where it gets good. My 11 year old son went for a walk and said he seen Alwyn Davey and Kako. I told him to go and get a photo. He comes back with a photo of Kako and Jayden Davey. How good is that. I must say he did go up to Jayden and ask if he is Alwyn . Jayden was pretty good about it well they are identical twins. Love Kako. My son was rapt. Also love the Davey’s.

  • Hand ball to Martin
  • Sells some candy then kicks it to Caddy
  • Could have blazed away around the corner for a shot but instead spots up
Duursma all on his own in the forward pocket

Already one of our smartest players on the list

Wasn’t it pick 9 plus a future 3rd for 13 and future 1st? (I may be wrong, but is what I thought).

If we rate Kako as high as Leo Lombard (who went at 9) or some other kid we might have picked at 9, then we have effectively got pick hmmm somewhere 2-8 (???) for a third rounder. If we had used 9 on Kako, I for one would be happy with how he’s looking right now.

Or let’s say Melbourne finishes 4th last. If you would (in retrospect, not able to know at the time) equate last years 9 to this years 4 (or bump it one or so if a bail-out/comp pick comes in), then Kako will have cost us a third rounder. Maybe the dees come from the clouds and finish as high as… I reckon ther optimistic upside might be 8th. Then we get pick 11 give or take - still not bad. Either way, with the pick trade you could argue we got him for a song. Or am I missing something?

Yeah we were already pretty well ahead on the trade if you assume we’re getting pick 10 from the Dees I think

We didn’t get 13 and future first from Melbourne. We got 28, a bunch of picks in the 40s and 50s and their future first.
Edit Sorry I just realized you mean we used those icks to make 13. You’re right., we did really well.

Sorry - shorthand - I couldn’t remember what they were, but we used them to match 13. Maybe we had to use other picks we already had that I have forgotten about (so my accounting misses something). But it seems pretty cheap to me…
