Agree. He certainly doesn’t look like he has slowed down or lost any of his energy at this stage that’s for sure
I don’t think fitness is major issue. His running patterns are akin to an under 10s player.
he seems a bit too intent on chasing and tackling . I’d like to see him be more ball and goal hungry . like hes stuck in one mode of operation
Yep got rid of stringer and we still have 2 other tweeners who don’t bring the strengths of either talls or smalls.
Same reason lalor was for Richmond, marketing
If you get 37 poor inside 50s for a whole game then you’re not going to be doing much more than chasing and tackling as a small forward
Yeah Im not knocking him, butr regarless he hasntg settled at the level yet. Hes going to be good
This is a major and obvious issue. It’s been an issue throughout Scott’s tenure, and despite it being so obvious he’s rarely done anything about it. Unfortunately for us at the moment it’s compounded by having Wright in the team (I think Wright is playing pretty well and absolutely deserves his spot, but he doesn’t help at all with forward half defence).
We need to inject speed into the team more broadly, but especially in the forward line because line-breaking half-backs have been killing us since well before Bailey Dale and his record-breaking effort last weekend. Perkins is beyond awful defensively (and doesn’t have the credits in the bank to get picked ahead of Langford), and Gresham is poor defensively, too. They need to be looking at Davey, Guelfi and Menzie, and from the perspective of what they can contribute without the ball. If Caldwell and Parish were match fit and playing well I’d redeploy Merrett as a forward, but there are obvious issues with that move.
Playing Wright, Langford and Perkins in the same forwardline is asking for trouble and simply makes it far too easy for the opposition to transition from defence to attack.
Would love to see Kako, Gresh and Davey in the side together. Do it Brad
We need the defensive pressure, ground ball gathers and speed. Where is my frontal pressure ?
A first year player hasn’t settled into his role/position after 10 rounds, well colour me surprised.
We have some dumb fans. One guy on FB reckons kako shouldnt be on the untradeable.list as hes done nothing and is as useless as the Davey boys.
Kako will.benefit from a proper forward structure and gameplan. Unfortunately we have neither right now.
Already looks broken.
Don’t underestimate the depths that opposition trolls will go to.
But also yes - there are flogs in every supporter bas.
Ohhhh no
I just seen the photo. WTAF is the club doing?
Don’t tell me they’re actually trying to make it look like they have more indigenous players on the list.
Both clubs had first year players attending.
Why was Kako standing with the 2 indigenous players and Briggs, and Clarke wasn’t next to him?
Lalor was part of Richmond’s photoshoot, pretty sure it’s just the first picks for the club and isn’t actually that deep
I have no idea.
I was just scrolling (as most people do), and thought ‘WTF’.
I hadn’t watched any video’s or clips…… it was a 2 second glance on Facebook.
That’s what social media is…… and that’s what my first reaction was.
Both clubs had ONE first year player attending each.
