#10 Isaac Kako

Cox is probably our best small forward at the moment.

Not really. It treats a bid at #1 vs #15 the same. And how does it handle bids at or near the end of the round?

Better to just say you can only match with a maximum of two picks plus future points from the same round.

Future points are unknown.

So the points system only works with draft selections in the current draft.

Nothing seems fair about a pick 1 being got for pick 15 under any workable scenario. But if your going to allow it then its fairer than just later picks.

Ie pick 15 plus a bunch of picks in say the 30s is better than just a bunch of picks in the 30s to make up the numbers.

A max number of picks(meaning they have to be quality picks) has some merit.

I do think that if all things being equal with say all clubs starting with a first/second/third etc draft pick that they can match bids using those.

If they are compromised that from trading out from a prior draft then tough - then they cant match the bid for their academy talent unless they can convince another club to let them trade back into the draft.

Same with Caddy. (Which I think will happen).

Caddy and Kako as talented young boys are going to help us drive up the ladder!

Or do you like to live in a world where Geelong,Sydney,Collingwood win every ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā–  year?

I sure as don’t.

Because im an Essendon supporter.

I though we had a big cox?

I’m an Essendon supporter too, not a barracker but it is not out of the realms of possibility that if we continue down this path of being an absolute basket case of a club, players may want out. That’s not too hard to suspect, is it??

A lot to like there. His build is very solid, pocket battleship/Gary Moorcroft like, so he should be AFL ready from the get-go. Loved his 3rd goal, roved it off the hitout, no fumbles below the knees, a couple of steps and drilled it from 40m. Sound kicking technique.

Do you really think we are an absolute basket case ?

20 years of mediocrity says we are.

He’s able to make good quick decisions and then get the ball to boot really quickly to execute. One of his big strengths.

If he had 10 more cm on him and a bit more depth in his kicking he’d be a top 5 prospect.

As it is, he’s a very impressive one grab player who had enough acceleration to make things happen and seemingly good vision and awareness as well as solid skills.

I like that’s he’s showing the ability to accumulate up the ground. Actually there’s a fair bit of gryan Myers in the way he plays

There must be some doubts on his frame and ability to stand up to afl bodies but he’s doubtless a very exciting prospect

Regardless of we added Cummings, stengle and Kako we’d be a pretty student looking team next year

For funnsies

We are one game off top 4

Yes, we are but why can’t we play out a full season? Do you have the answer? This season is quickly headed down the 2023 path and similar to other years. There is something seriously wrong at the club. Players, coaches, development staff, recruiting.? Who knows what the problem is?? We were playing for a second spot on the ladder a few weeks ago and then lost to some average teams. Now sitting 8th and hanging on by the fingernails.

I think we are on the right path but for whatever reason we can’t bury poor clubs as our percentage indicates. From week to week, i have no idea whether we are going to win or lose. Very frustrating.
