#12 Tom Cutler - Just Cut ✄

I suppose players are not classified as big bodied mids now unless they are > 195cm and >95kg

Of course he’d say that, words of a salesman

It will be interesting to see if we persist with half the team rotating through the midfield under our new coaching regime.
If so we will be trying to find a spot for Cutler to play when he is not on the wing.
Maybe he will just rotate him between the wing and the pine.
Thats unlikely. Its said he has a decent tank.

The more I see of him the more I see Langford but with a heart the size of a lion not a pea.

Very good long kick.
Will be able to bomb it into opposition defenders.

I think his size as a midfielder/ wingman should help us keep possession when we go outside down the line when Saad/McKenna shut down in the middle.

He’s a confidence player. I’ve seen him hurt blokes when he’s on.

Hopefully the new coaching regimen sort this sort of stuff out

Anonymous person on internet calls AFL footballer a pea heart. Righto.

The confidence part or the hurting blokes bit?

Yep I would have liked to see him up for trade to be honest

Big bodied tagger for Bont, Fyffe, Cripps

Speaking of Pears, whatever happened to Pears the defender we had

Just in case you were wondering, Cutler runs a 2.93 20m.

He and Courtney “The Messiah” Johns both were, weren’t they?

Poor - he likes the hard stuff even less than Lachie Hunter, who is one of the most outside wingers in the league.

Tom will never be anywhere in the realm of being a Jack Graham sort, he wasn’t an inside mid at U18 level, never played the role since joining Brisbane, and has never shown any semblance of having the desire to be a hard physical presence at the ball/man.

What’s his two-way running like? (For mine this is more important for the position he will be playing.)

It’d be an utter waste of time. You can play mid (read: wing) and have a big body, but that still doesn’t mean you’ve got the skill-set necessary to play inside (see Tomlinson).

From Brisbane’s BigFooty Board…re: can Cutler play inside mid?

Inside / outside, is far more about mind set than skill set, as long as you have the build.

In fact you need more “skill” to play outside than you do inside, Can you bustle and use your body? Can you handpass or throw it on the boot real quick?
