If Cutler is to remain he should be made to shadow Redman 24-7 and learn how to get some mongrel in his game. Not enough desperation and physicality in his game for mine. Nice kick but need more. I don’t see him any better than Marty.

Cutler is a good athlete, you can see why Jackets was interested. If he can somehow manage to pull it together it would be a massive bonus. If he can get his mindset right and improve his contested game he’ll make it, bit of long shot at the moment though 
Cutler is 26yo. what we saw on Sunday is the most we will ever get from this guy. Sure keep him as depth, but not going to be anything more than that.

The thing is…if he had that mongrel, he would likely be a very good player as he has all the attributes.

We have a tendency on here to barrack for a player’s demise sometimes, rather than cheering them on to improve.
He’s on track for a contract renewal which3 weeks ago I didn’t think he’d get. Good work from him and the coaches. If he can build the contested part of his game he becomes a very valuable 20-26 player on the list.

Yeah but if you spend your time bagging 60% of the list then the odds are very good that you’ll be proved right at least a couple of times every year, come delisting time.
Thereby reinforcing your self image as a “football expert”.
