#12 Will Setterfield

We massively overrated his start to the season as we were jizzing ourselves over a BBM.

He is slow, has absolutely abdominal disposal and is all around showing why he has been at 3 clubs in his short career.

Yes, he honestly hasn’t had an effective disposal today, he’s a bit deer in headlights atm, like he’s over thinking it. Reminds me of Langford a few years ago. Keeps fumbling, slow hands. Literally almost missed his foot on that kick to win the clearances in 4th qrt.

worst disposal efficiency for the team reflects that as well.

This Cats side have made lots of very good players look awful.

He’s better than this but probably not as great as he looked in round 1.

I’m not sure if accurate, but it feels (emphasis: feels) like he’s being used increasingly as a run-with player. And this is not his strong suit. If they use him on JHF next week, we’re in trouble…

If only they started him as a run-with player on Dangerfield.

Jhf isn’t quite in the daicos league yet. All it needs, cruel as it sounds, is some SA blitzers to boo him and hey presto.

Actually that is mean. Poor kids had enough.

That year at north would be traumatic as it gets.

Poor basstard, sounds painful. Has he seen a doctor?

Reason why Carlton where happy to let him go for a packet of chips

Didn’t take long to sink the slipper, ehh?

cmon mate.

he’s the solid big bodied player we’ve always needed.

unfortunately today he turned it over a bit, but geelong are one of the best at forcing that.

Carlton fans kept saying he’ll have games where he looks good and then goes missing they tried to warn us about this.

He had five good games on the trot, was forced to play in a spot I doubt he’s ever had to play for a chunk of ANZAC day, then had a poor one today.

I’d say on balance he’s still having a good season.

Setterfield playing on Danger after quarter time was a major reason we pretty much matched them for 3 quarters. He should play that defensive role at centre bounces every week, he negates the oppositions most powerful mid and creates space for others to win the ball, completely changes our midfield.

If that’s the case then he goes to one of Wines,Powel Pepper

SPP isn’t playing mid. Wines is rotating so maybe. More likely JHF. Rozee isn’t a good matchup.

I don’t think he ā€˜goes to’ anyone this week, but maybe reacts as the game unfolds.

Why on earth didn’t he start on Danger from minute 1?

He was brought in to play defensive roles on opposition bigger mids.

Like Dangerfield. Almost specifically Dangerfield. In fact, if he was only to do that role for one guy all year…it would be Dangerfield.
