Reckon Perkins could come home like a train
You think heâll start slowing down a fair way from the end?
Yeh, nah.
Gaff and Whitfield played there throughout juniors.
Cox is relatively new to the role.
Give him a couple of years, he will rack them up. Nothing surer.
Rising Star nom thing. First, who cares
Maybe the player and his family.
If he doesnât get nominated, he can always trade his premiership medal for a rising star medal.
Cox is a true 1st year player;
Jackson and Green are both in their second year as are Cody Weightman, Georgiades, and Warner. Jordon, Kossie and Scholl are in their 3rd years.
Gulden and Campbell are the only 2 players actually from the 2020 draft to be nominated for the RS
none of it matters if Cox turns out to be the best of the lot.
which he probably will.
Perkins will be the best IMO
OrâŚReid will be!
Clip for anyone that wants to see it. Interesting to see Barrett and Brownless supporting Lloyds opinion too.
I reckon he was 3rd best out of our 3 this weekâŚ
Jones or Perkins surely this weekâŚ
Hate to say it, but going by previous weeks, I think Jones (Port) may get it.
Just checked his rising star odds. Itâs at $6.50. Glad I jumped on board at the start of the season like many on here with at 10 times those odds.
Got him at $81 when he took that screamer in the intra club and kicked a goal.
Cox only had a 9 possession game. Highly unlikely to get it. Also, he plays on the wing so it will be seen as a bad game to nominate him.
Perkins plays in the forward half, his 16 possession game can be considered good. Would have been good if he kicked that goal (which slammed into the post).
Yeah Lloydy talked up cox and said he should get the nom this week but eagles game was probably his most quiet game of the year.
Archie was easily better than him this week.
I wouldnât be surprised if an Essendon official got in Lloydâs ear given weâve been snubbed all year and always get snubbed for all aus coz of the lack of Essendon people in the AFL Media
Itâs just rubbish how he didnât get a nom against Sydney, saints or north.
All the selectors look at is disposal count, not their effect on games.
Wing is the hardest position in modern footy, play him across half back and heâd be averaging 20 touches. You get games like Saturday when the ball is on the other side of the ground all night and youâre just running. Unfortunately âtimes you prevented the opposition getting into the corridorâ doesnât show up on the stat sheet
I donât think heâs used often enough as an outlet. Often seen torching his man on the spread and ignored. Stuff individual awards though. He doesnât need additional expectations that these types of awards create.
