I would let it go Lance, you will never convince that nutters.
I don’t know how you could live through the Supplements Saga as an Essendon supporter and not realise the depths to which the AFL will go to preserve it’s image.
The had a fake ‘mother’ call up a radio station complaining how bad we were! A trade article like this has like no downside to them. Have the ‘reporter’ write it. If people complain like they have, he’d simply did what McGowan did and say that’s not what he meant or just claim that’s what his sources said and he’s just passing on info.
All sounds great, except you have to live in Dubbo
(sorry, I am from Mudgee originally and I’ve only ever had to travel to Dubbo for annoying purposes which probably has cruelled it for me!)
Some people just sleep through reality. I can’t blame them, reality is often bad.
Which bit are you having trouble with?
People in positions of power wouldn’t “brief” journos to write ■■■■, based-on-nothing stories?
Or
The AFL wouldn’t?
Or
The AFL wouldn’t manipulate the agenda?
No idea who dropped this, but I’ve got absolutely no issue at all with people cynical about the motivation here. Someone talked to this dude.
Otherwise, this guy’s just woken up one Wednesday and written an article about a guy 10 months into a new contract wanting to move, off his own bat.
What’s more likely?
Port shaking the tree, the article was about them in reality.
Jeez mate, stop bragging
Yep. I’m pretty sure we did the same thing with Luke Parker last year. He had to post on social media that he wasn’t leaving the Swans.
Trust me, I’m not bragging when saying that
Stay \ /\ /OKE
there is an article there that he can write. but theres no doubt he was being deliberately misleading for more traffic. the lack of ownership that these “journos” have for their own work is staggering.
This McGowan fwit is still going. Now he’s written some bullshit about Hawthorn trading Burton for Wingard being the correct decision.
and now i know what club he barracks for…
How many time I have to refute this?
IIRC a poster said they knew Patrick_bombers in real life. Can’t remember who…
that’s the joke
To what end?
Would he or his agent be more likely to jump ship if they read it in the paper before Port had spoken to them?
I actually believe that there is some truth to the story. I believe that Orazio will request a trade home at some point. Potentially after this current contract.
Someone should have asked him whether he has plans to return home after this contract.
Yes this is seemingly so
MM perhaps a Port Adelaide supporter pipe dreaming about Raz ending up there and still hanging onto things said 6yrs ago
Keep dreaming buddy. Maybe don’t write articles as fact next time though you muppet.
Yeah that’s my thoughts too. I’m actually OK with that, you’d never want to begrudge somebody going home to family and friends, especially if they have served the club well (and hopefully won a premiership).
Will still hurt though!
