Sharp was my second choice for us to pick, just behind Robey, it was a near thing, not much separating them on my wish list. Sharp is captaincy material, in the not too distant future.

They wanted our future second.
Their first next year could be 14-18 and our future second could be in the early 20’s
So in effect the wanted us to trade 13 and say 22 next year for pick 19 and next years pick 14
Horrible trade and we effectively ended up with the best player of the champs costing us a couple of picks in the 20’s

Really bloody happy that we picked up sharp. I was initially a little ■■■■■■ off with the Farrow selection, even though I thought he would be a good selection. Then realised if we took Taylor then we would most likely miss out on sharp. That is the way it ended up, what a terrific draft hand.

If you told me this time last year that we landed Dyson Sharp, I’d have assumed we won the spoon and had pick 1. Absolutely stoked with this.

Taking Farrow guaranteed us either Sharp or Taylor imo coz Deez were all over Pickett and Dovaston.

Giving away our future second could quite likely risk locking us out of matching a bid on Blake Justice, as well. I think that’s the range he’s vaguely expected to go at this very early stage.

Talk about driven and professional kids. Sharp and Robey both more physically developed than Farrow, so senior selection beckons for those two in 2026 you’d think.
