Noonan
Trump/sleepy joe
imagining things
I believe if he can regain his match fitness in the early stages of the VFL season, his natural position will be to come off the bench in (time on) for the quarters. During these periods, he can have significant impact with 3-4 involvements a quarter that result in forward assists or goals.
How did we rate his game today?
Had some ok moments, but didn’t do much. Only 40% game time though and came on in the second half when we were getting smashed
wheres the game time stats from?
They’re on the AFL site
I’d have said he had some absolute pearler moments where he actually kicked it to the forwards’ advantage unlike his team mates. He also had some howlers. And I didn’t realise he was on for anywhere near 40% TOG.
Watching the Giants doco on 7, Green made him look like a witches hat and he doesn’t even try to chase.
Then an out of form Cogs absolutely embarrassed him.
God I hope we don’t see this guy anywhere near a centre square again
Looked rusty. Not surprising given how little he has trained. A nice kick or two that resulted in shots on goal.
Hopefully will get better over the coming weeks.
I desperately wanted him to succeed. Seems he and I weren’t on the same page.
Hardly trained, but straight back into the team
It must feel great being one of brads favourites
God I hope we don’t see him anywhere near the AFL side again
Delist
Are people really having a go at him over a practice match where he played on limited minutes (during the period we were being pantsed) after he’s only been in training for a short period of time and not played any other match sims???
So many Blitzers really are arseholes.
Loosest defender in Portsea.
Grow your hair back, Archie.
I fully support this.
Time for a banner at training, let’s go the opposite of Trent Croad protests
I’d happily pay for a banner that says Select on form not favourites.
I thought his running gait looked better and more like it did in his first year. Obviously played through OP in 2025. If he can stay fit for an entire season we’ll see a better version of Archie.
I actually thought it was good to see him positive and trying to take the game on. Made a couple of incisive kicks heading inside 50, tried to take on some tacklers and launched for some marks.
Positive Archie is much more likely to be the attacking threat we want forward of centre. Remember, he’s the kind of player - albeit if he comes good - that wins 1v1s and 1v2s in the forward half. It’s the kind of player you desperately need in the modern game. We will be better for Archie coming good - of that there can be no doubt.
