#16 “OMG it’s Archie” Perkins

Was putrid today. Nothing worked.

Perhaps his extra midfield time and Kms covered is effecting his burst speed and sills.

I like Perkins but he doesn’t enjoy tackling which is an issue in our team.

He’s actually a decent tackler.

Thought he was 1 of our better performers today

How on earth did you arrive at that conclusion?

Wasnt much competition.

Similar to zaharakis, a decent tackler, just doesn’t enjoy it much.

Gia thought he did some good things

Looked slow in midfield, which shouldn’t really be the case, and lacking power - but did work himself into the pace in the second half somewhat. It’s too early to make the call, but he will need some time in the VFL as a mid for development reasons this year. Might be a few games, might be more than a few.

Because he’s changed positions and is doing more Kms as a result.

So when the ball comes his way he has no zip.

Was he actually playing there much yesterday though?

More than usual.

Yeah ok, I’ll take your word for it, I barely saw him on the tv tbh hard to tell where he was actually spending his minutes

Hasn’t looked to be the same player since he cut his hair. Coincidence?

Another player who supporters need to temper the expectations on.

Our supporters are too easily charmed, misguided into thinking a couple glimpses = next A grader.

Will never forgot someone on here in Henry Slattery’s first year saying he reminded them of a young James Hird.

It’s not our fault Archie is hot.

I think he is a half forward.
Perhaps later in his career/in his prime he can be an impact mid/forward.
For now, half forward, and stick to that.
