I think he’s the type of player that can cut up the opposition with maybe 15 touches. His problem at the moment is every time he gets it he’s stuffing up. Needs to tidy his game up and hit some targets

He"d wanna start announcing himself this year, not suggesting a star or every game but he needs to present himself on the stage in moments

He still has plenty to learn in the midfield but saw some better signs yesterday than the week before. Hope we persist giving him a good amount of midfield time regardless of form. I hope to see him use a bit more aggression both in attack on the ball and tackling.

If I saw things correctly. They played Martin and Perky as CBAs and they were both not very good. But I think they should keep giving them more clearance situations even if it hurts the team in the short term. Just so we have more options.

Perkins had 8 CBAs for 1 centre clearance and Martin had 0 CBAs.

I have no issue with Martin playing wing.
No, Martin is a midfielder…we need to at least rotate him through. Wings are for flash in the pan, one way runners.

I don’t know what it is, but there’s something not right.
He’s a beautiful kick, but he shanks half of them, misses his passes by a smidgin, misses his shots at goal. Even his handpasses aren’t good.
Is something troubling him? Or is he right on the edge and on the verge of producing the talent and flair that got him a rising star nomination in his first year. Who knows?
But he’s not performing up to standard right now.

I think modern Blitz would love Slattery if he played now. Skills were average but fk he was gutsy. Never could question his courage.
