#16 “OMG it’s Archie” Perkins

I never want to see Parish, Perkins and Merrett at a CBA again

Not sure how he ended up with 20 disposals and a goal, I thought he was mostly rubbish until that last play.

Because he was.

Looks like he’s sulking a little too when things aren’t going his way.

He’s a forward stop the midfield bullshit

He put in toward the end of the game. Was terrible early.

And what do we do for a bigger mid? When Setterfield returns…

Cox gets 12 possessions in an uninspiring game and people say he’s getting better yet Archie gets 20 possessions and kicks the settling goals that the team needed after contested mark and people say his possessions are rubbish. I didn’t have to search hard to find a couple of his possessions on the AFL site. Good deep entry for a Martin goal https://www.afl.com.au/video/1005730

I mean I agree with your point somewhat but what a terrible comparison

Fyi, he is good in the CBAs for his experience level. Doesn’t get beaten by his man. Very accountable. Have to persist with him in the middle just so he can perform the Stringer role for us in the future.

I can see where the criticism comes from. It’s warranted however it needs to be balanced with reality and the good stuff.

He does sometimes have questionable body language and fumbles a bit in the midfield which can frustrate. However, he steps up in key moments, has strong hips and doesn’t go to ground and makes things happen.

I have no issues with how he’s developing.

I think he was mostly poor today but did a few really good and crucial things. I still maintain he is incredibly lazy at times and is the master of sticking out a hand to look like he is trying to tackle

Did some good stuff, did some not so good stuff, but he’s starting to contribute far more frequently.

He’s developing well. Still a year or two from the finished product.

Lol

I think they’re both good

And his body language is questionable. If he can improve on the intensity aspects I think he will be a valuable player.

I went to the game and IMO he was absolute junk today ….lazy and fumbles ……did 2-3 good things in the last including the goal ……he’s gone backwards ……skills and intensity are poop

He’s developing into a mediocre player

Alright, we’ll see what happens over the next few years

Everyone wants us to play the kids, but in every thread on the kids that are playing people aren’t impressed.

The midfield time he is getting will be good for his development whether he ends up a forward or mid or both.
